Within the course light and space with Vinny Jones we were introduced by her working methode called sensory scenography.
Light is something that is all around us it bounches of and makes life appear. While exploring working with light, i learned to trust on the knowledge that is allready there, you just have to open your sences, look around with full openess and curiousity.
This space is an at first dark landscape that through movement, reveils an endless space. Movements that go in and out of light while sound and intesity changes you are questioning time and the cycle it inhabits.

After unbricking the solid brick, how can we softly shape a new rhizomatic and reflective interspace? How do we transform into soft bricks and an endlessly growing grid that creates space for the power of fragility?

Lijsttheater
Het ontwerp bestaat uit een dicht gemetselde lijst met een ont duidend gat op 5 meter hoogte. Waar vreemde objecten uit de droomwereld vallen.
Waar gaan we heen als we in slaap vallen? We slapen bijna net zo veel als dat we wakker zijn, moeten we ons niet afvragen naar die andere helft van ons leven?
Een dappere overgaven tot iets mysterieus. Ontdekking reizigers die het rabbit hole van Alice and wonderland nu toch onder de loop nemen.

Brick, brIcK, I am a brick.
Is a material-based artistic research on how to ‘unbrick’ a brick. Where the plaster molded brick in the hands of two performers tries to answer to this question.
S. Ahmed speaks about citations are like bricks, the more you repeat them the more solid they become. She uses the brick wall as a metafoor for institutional racial structures where the ones who try to changed them keeps banging there head against the brick wall.
Being a feminist means citing the other and making a change. Often this means being a feminist killjoy. Where during family dinners you put an unwelcome brick on the table.
How can we take this solid wall down? I am a brick, that one brick in a bigger wall, and what if we could all take our brick and unbrick?

Deze uienzakken installatie in een kantoorruimte gaat over de verloren ambachtelijke kennis in het alledaagse: aan de hand van product verpakkingen.
Het bevechten van anonimiteit in een consumptie maatschappij waar alle vakman winkels zijn ingeruild voor supermarkten met zelfscans kassa’s. Uienzakken installatie gaat om de kleine dingen, zoals oogcontact met een supermarkt kassier en noten scheppen in uitwasbare zakjes van je oma.
Het verliezen van generatie op generatie ambachtelijke kennis en bodem kennis. Waar een gen-z-er niet eens een idee heeft van of de ui boven of onder de grond groeit.

Can you hurt a robot?
An audioguide through the theaterschool’s prop storage space, where some objects where mapped out by projected light. While looking at the objects the visitor hears a, field-recording like, sound-scape that shares the objects intimate (hi)story.
An artistic research on relations to non-biological life forms. How to treat, relate and emphases to them. Are they mirrors of our mind or do they have their own soul?
I researched boarders on relationships and intimacy with objects and how life and non-life forms can be non-hierarchical* and closely intertwined to one and other.
I learned about objectophilia, eco-sex movement, animism, ietsism and tried to form a bond with an chat-bot.
Inspired by and based on the theory’s of Bruno Latour and Donna herway.
